About the research
Tesamorelin (Egrifta, TH9507) is a Theratechnologies-developed stabilized GHRH analog approved by the FDA in 2010 for HIV-associated lipodystrophy. The trans-3-hexenoyl modification at the N-terminus blocks DPP-4 inactivation while preserving GHRH-receptor pharmacology, producing a distinctive PK profile of short plasma exposure with sustained GH/IGF-1 elevation.
